We have a large Amish community in our area and the women make the most beautiful quilts with bright colors on a black background. I thought I’d try it on a card. I used the new beautiful 2024-2026 In-Colors for my quilt pieces. I punched them out with the Inked and Tiled Punch Pack. You will want to check it out as it’s retiring and marked down from $40.00 to $32.00.

I used the “block” punch to punch out the botttom tile and I used the cross punch to punch out top layer in a differnt color. I used Summer Splash for the bottom tile on the top card and Pretty in Pink for the Cross.
For the bottom card Pretty in Pink is the bottom tile and and Shy Shamrock is the color for the cross.
Make a mark at 2 1/2″ along the top edge of the Basic Black layer (the layer is 5″ x 3 3/4″). This is where to put the top point of the middle block. Then line up the other blocks accordingly.

These cards have the same background with the addition of the beautiful flower. The flower was die cut with the Simply Zinnias Dies. The flower on the left is Peach Pie with Petunia Pop for the center. The card on the right has the Petunia Pop Flower with Shy Shamrock and Peach Pie in the center.
