Large Explosion Cards

Hi friends! Have you ever made an Explosion Card? When opened the folded paper “explodes” and revealing a message inside. I have made them before but now one this big! It’s a great card to make for an extra-special impression! This design was shared this week on Facebook by Artisan Designer Sara Sayers from the UK. It’s a fabulous card! I used Golden Glow Cardstock for the card base for this card. The base is scored at 2-1/8″ on each end to create a Gate Fold.

I also used the adorable Silly Old Bear 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. It’s filled with Winnie-the-Pooh characters and scenery. It even has printed pictures in frames that can be cut out with the dies from the Sweet Words & Labels Bundle. And I love the sentiment “Old Friends are the best friends.” Isn’t that so true!

I also made one using the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper and Relaxing Waterside Bundle. The banners on both cards were cut using the Three Banner Punch. It’s such a great tool to have to create quick, pretty banners.
