A Child is Born!

Hi Crafty friends. This week I’m featuring projects with the beautiful A Child is Born Stamp Set with its Biblical sentiments and artistic beauty. I’ve paired it with the Elegant Pines Snowflakes Designer Series Paper for this class. Get the free kits for one of each of these cards with a qualifying order this week!

The first card was inspired by a similar card by Cheri of Cheri’s Cards. I love the dark Secret Sea and Shaded Spruce colors with the shades of browns and blues used in coloring the clothing of Mary, Baby Jesus, and Joseph. I also used the Irregular Weave Trim around the layers behind the Holy Family.

If you are someone who does not enjoy coloring, here is another version where I stamped the family and then blended Crumb Cake Ink around them. The Traditional Sparkling Sequins add a need touch of shimmer.

This next card is one of my favorite designs to show of designer series paper. The small front flap is layered with a strip of Basic White Cardstock that was embossed with the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder. It adds a touch of elegance to the simple card.

And the fourth card is so pretty with the wide gold-edged ribbon layered over the shapes of DSP layered on vellum. The die cut Crumb Cake Circle is stamped with Early Espresso Ink and then I blended Crumb Cake Ink around the edges.
